What does it mean to be broken…especially in the context as a Christian? There are many ways we are broken as people. Sometimes it occurs when our lives are overwhelmed with responsibilities. Other times it takes place during a significant loss in our lives such as a death or divorce or a failed relationship. There is no one way to brokenness. Yet, when it occurs in our lives, we can often feel like we are isolated and alone. These are precisely the times that we turn to Christ and we turn to our brothers and sisters within the church. I’ll be the first to admit that our church and I, as the pastor of our church, are far from perfect. In fact, you probably don’t have to explore far to find some real faults. However, what I do know is that despite the churches faults, God provides Amazing Grace within the church. Even if we are imperfect, God is perfect and God bounds up our brokenness and put us back together in new and incredible ways.
